Is your First Impression a Crime?

Image matters! So before you put that on … KNOW that you will be judged!

Guilty of a Bad First Impression
Everybody knows that first impressions matter, so I’m always amazed when someone says “I don’t want to be judged by what I wear,” uh, WTF, who does?   But just because you don’t want to, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Having been on “bended knee” working with some very successful men, I can tell you, a lot of successful men dressed the part long before they had it.  The real deal is that someone gave them a few tips on style and prepared them about the importance of making a first impression and developing an image of personal style and success. And they outfit themselves in an image of power, influence and success. My work is not to teach them how to dress but to keep them looking good so they can continue to look better than the rest.

These power brokers know that every time they appear in public, it’s an opportunity to solidify their image, reputation and personal brand.

Now what does this have to do with you?   Everything, because anyone who is resourceful and looking for an edge, can create a powerful first impression starting with wearing the right clothes!

So before you put that on, here are a few ways to tip the scale of style … ask yourself:

1)      Do I look better than my competitors?

2)      Do I look successful at what I do?

3)      Do I look credible, competent and charismatic?

4)      Do I look like I believe in myself enough to invest in myself?

5)      Do I look like I pay attention to detail?

If you answer “no” to any of these questions, here’s a tip … CHANGE your CLOTHES!
